Justin Roberts - Pop Fly (CD)

⭐ Parents' Choice Gold Award winner
🏆 #1 Children's CD of the Year — Fids & Kamily

Eleven pop songs so perfectly constructed they stick to your brain like flypaper — for kids and their parents alike. Pop Fly is Justin Roberts at his most purely joyful, a record built around the small, specific details of childhood that somehow feel universal: the distracted outfielder watching dandelions instead of the ball, the wild creatures imagined living inside a classmate's unkempt hair, a kid grading the family's stay-at-home dad ("If I were giving grades, he'd get a B or an A").

Roberts and the Not Ready for Naptime Players play with the energy and wit of a great Fountains of Wayne record — tight, melodic, full of hooks that reward repeated listens. It's the kind of album that becomes the soundtrack to a whole year of a kid's life without anyone noticing it happening.

Essential tracks include the sing-along title track "Pop Fly," the hilariously detailed "Henrietta's Hair," the tender "She Sits," and the wistful "Giant-Sized Butterflies." A perennial favorite for ages 5–10. Released April 2008 on Carpet Square Records.
