Justin Roberts - Meltdown! (CD)

⭐ Parents' Choice Gold Award winner
🏆 #1 Children's CD of 2006 — Fids & Kamily
⭐ Named one of the Best Children's Music of the Past 30 Years — Time Out NY Kids

The one that put Justin Roberts on the map for good. Meltdown! is a rocking adventure through the everyday chaos of childhood — sidewalk chalk art, imaginary rhinos, monsters under the bed, new siblings, birthday cake, and the hard-won triumph of finally ditching the training wheels. It's Roberts' fifth album and the record where everything clicked into place.

Amazon's editors said it placed Roberts "among the triumvirate of truly exceptional current kids' artists" and it's easy to hear why. The lyrics are funny, sharp, and deceptively brainy — "Get Me Some Glasses" alone, with its Superman/Clark Kent punchline, is worth the price of the CD. The music is full-throttle kindie rock, with hooks that lodge immediately and don't let go. People Magazine called it "on your feet fun and laugh-out-loud funny." The Chicago Tribune said Roberts is "in a league of his own."

Essential tracks include the irresistible title track "Meltdown," the hilarious "My Brother Did It," the sweet "Taking Off My Training Wheels," and the tender closer "Song for You." A must-have for ages 4–9. Released March 2006 on Carpet Square Records.
