Justin Roberts - Lemonade (CD)

⭐ GRAMMY® Nominated — Best Album for Children, 2017

Pure sunshine in album form. Lemonade is a GRAMMY®-nominated collection of 12 original songs built around acoustic instruments and an irresistible summer-porch feeling — ukulele, banjo, cardboard boxes, paint cans, upright bass, fiddle, and marimba all showing up to the party.

Four-time GRAMMY® nominee Justin Roberts assembled some of Chicago's finest musicians for this one, including Robbie Fulks on acoustic guitar and banjo, Gerald Dowd on homemade percussion, and harmonies from Nora O'Connor (known for her work with Neko Case and the Decemberists). The result is warm, unhurried, and completely charming — the kind of record that sounds like a backyard in July.

Standouts include the jubilant title track, the sweet "How Lucky We Are," and the playful "Eight-Legged Octopus." A great pick for ages 3–10, and a particular favorite of parents who like their kids' music to actually sound good. Released October 2016 on Carpet Square Records.
